Workshops:
These workshops are a fun way to get insight into the artmaking styles of our special festival guests. Great for artists, tinkerers and creators of all types.
Playschool for Adults
A lecture and creative writing workshop with interdisciplinary artist Alexis O'Hara. Using exercises created by the Surrealists, as well as other games, this workshop aims to unleash creativity and free the mind from its habitual neural pathways. Highlighting intelligent approaches to absurdity, this workshop is interactive. Participants are asked to bring a notebook, a pen, a short text and an object that represents home for them.
Sunday, June 12, 2:00 – 4:00
Fee: $30

Ken Gregory, our artist-in-residence from Manitoba will show how acoustic couplings work. This is a hands on workshop where everyone makes an instrument they can take home: a single string 'guitar' made out of a 2x4, a piece of wire and a tin can.
