The Best of Parsons and Morel
Alexis O'Hara: Subject to Change
Later the same evening, local musical comedians Parson and Morel take their best comic material and present it as it might appear in the bright future of new media. Feel it: the holographic Who Did You Eat First, the Abbott and Costello routine as done by Clarice and Hannibal of Silence of the Lamb fame, is now in 3D! Live it: how smart phones make for genius comedy. Taste it: Canadian cocktails and other salty comic treats. Be the future, touch it, laugh.
Then Alexis O’Hara will appear onstage as a cyborg, covered with copper wire connectors that serve as a controller for playing back chopped up questions. These questions serve as triggers for spontaneous ‘songs’ which O'Hara promises to answer in her characteristic blend of cabaret, pop, spoken-word and stand-up.
O’Hara beseeches us, “Is there something you're dying to know? It's true, you can pretty much find the answer to most questions by contacting your friend Wikipedia. But wouldn't you rather have your answer delivered to you in song by a copper covered cyborg? Of course you would! Call 855-432-2301 and leave your question at the tone. Ask away! You won’t know the answer if you don’t ask.”
